Amad reviews his season so far
Manchester United winger Amad is enjoying the responsibility of being a regular figure in the Reds’ attack this season.
Amad was one of the stars of United’s pre-season matches, and has since started six of our eight games across all competitions, as the Reds’ main man on the right flank.
Amad: I want to continue like this
Amad reviews his impressive start to the season and lays ambition on the line, as United prepare for Spurs...
“Happy,” he told us, before elaborating on his choice, at the start of an exclusive interview that you can watch above.
“I’m so happy to start like this and I want to step up and continue like this until the end of the season.”
As a result of his performances in August, the young forward won our Player of the Month award for the first time in his young career, as voted by the supporters.
While speaking to club media, Amad expressed his gratitude for scooping the accolade and his desire to continue impressing, as he thanked the fans for their backing.
“I’m in a good moment,” our no.16 said. “I’m confident and the Player of the Month, I was so happy to have it. As I said before, I want to step up and continue like this.
“The fans give me a lot of love and I want to thank them for the love and for giving me confidence.
“Even when I was not playing, they wanted to give me confidence, to give me the love and to bring me the energy. I’m so happy to have the fans with the team and I want to thank them again.”
Amad provides United's creative spark
ArticleThe Ivory Coast international broke new ground with his chance crafting against Southampton.
The Ivorian has not looked back since returning from a knee injury just before the start of 2024, and his development in that time was highlighted by Erik ten Hag in a recent press conference.
He has become a key member of the manager's squad and is someone who appears to enjoy his team-mates’ company, off the pitch just as much as he does on it.
“I have a good relationship with everyone really. I am one of the lads who has energy, I have a good relationship with every player, I joke with everyone, I smile every time,” he explained.
“I have been close with Kobbie [Mainoo] and Garna [Alejandro Garnacho] because we are the same age, and we want to grow up together. So I have a good relationship with everyone.
“We’ve got good energy, the team is focused to do more until the end of the season, and we take every game like a final. So we’re ready to fight again.”
