Antony posts a passionate message to fans
Manchester United forward Antony has posted a passionate message to supporters ahead of an important week of domestic cup action.
The Reds are currently preparing to face Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night in a Carabao Cup semi-final first leg at The City Ground, with a place in the final at Wembley Stadium up for grabs.
Erik ten Hag’s men will then move on to an Emirates FA Cup fourth-round tie against Reading at Old Trafford on Saturday evening and an opportunity to secure safe passage to the last 16.
United have not lifted a trophy since the 2017 Europa League and the squad is determined to end the club’s drought this season.
Indeed, the improving Reds are the only English team still fighting for success in four competitions, including the Premier League and Europa League.
In a post on social media, the exciting 22-year-old addressed a big week for the team and also underlined his unrelenting desire to progress as a Red.
“Important week for us!” wrote the Brazilian on Twitter.
“Seeking to evolve to give my best to the team! It has always been a dream to be here and I will give all I have to honour this club because we are stronger together.”
So far, the young Brazil international has scored five times and won two Goal of the Month awards, for his efforts against major rivals Arsenal and Manchester City.
Will he start against Forest? Find out when the XI is announced at 19:00 GMT on Wednesday. MUTV's live pre-match show will begin at 18:55 GMT.
