Antony watches on at Old Trafford

Antony was in attendance at Old Trafford, as Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw with Leeds United in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

The Brazil international was ruled out of our clash with the Yorkshiremen by Erik ten Hag earlier this week, but that didn't stop the former Ajax man from delivering his support for his team-mates.

Pictured in the stands, our no.21 could be seen cheering on the Reds following our encounter with Leeds, as goals from Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho helped United fight back from 2-0 down to claim a precious point.

Antony could yet feature in the reverse fixture this Sunday, with Erik expected to deliver an update on his fitness before that match.

Last featuring in our 2-1 win against Crystal Palace on Saturday, Antony was bundled to the floor by Jeffrey Schlupp as he rolled off the side of the Old Trafford pitch, sparking wild scenes between both sets of players.

Compatriot Casemiro was dismissed for his part in proceedings, and Antony was withdrawn during the final ten minutes, making way for new loan signing Marcel Sabitzer.

Ten Hag delivered an update on the 22-year-old in his pre-match press conference at Carrington earlier this week, insisting he did not think the forward would be out of action for a lengthy period.

''I don't know,'' said the Dutchman when he was asked about the severity of Antony's recent setback. ''I don't think it is a long time, but we have to see how it develops in the coming days.

''It is in his leg, but I can't specify as we don't understand that.''

The Brazilian will no doubt be itching to feature at Elland Road on Sunday and build on his strong start to life here in Manchester, having found the net seven times so far this season.
