Ralf Rangnick

How to watch Ralf's press conference

Friday 14 January 2022 07:00

It’s Friday again and that means Ralf Rangnick will today sit down in front of the media to preview Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

United beat the Villans 1-0 on Monday’s Emirates FA Cup tie but tomorrow’s clash will see us travel to Villa Park in the Premier League.

We have a formidable record at the Midlands ground, having not lost a top-flight game there in 27 years, although the home side will be boosted having added Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Digne to their squad this week.

Read the latest on three suspended players, Reds who could return from injury and the opposition's possible debutants.

John McGinn, who was an impressive presence in the Villa midfield at Old Trafford, is suspended, as are United pair Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay.

Fortunately, it sounds as though Cristiano Ronaldo is raring to be involved after the 36-year-old missed the cup win.

Fellow injury absentees Phil Jones, Harry Maguire and Jadon Sancho were also spotted in our training pictures from Carrington on Thursday.

Hopefully Ralf will reveal all about the status of his squad when he holds his pre-match press conference at 13:00 GMT later today.

As usual, the Manager’s Press Conference show will broadcast the call in full, along with analysis from a presenter and pundit in the MUTV studio.

You’ll also be able to watch the stream on ManUtd.com and in our Official App.

The Reds are seventh in the Premier League table, six points behind fourth-placed West Ham after they beat Norwich 2-0 on Wednesday evening.

Villa are 14th, nine points adrift of United, but league positions could change with a Friday night game between Brighton and Crystal Palace, plus five earlier Saturday games, taking place before the 17:30 GMT kick-off at Villa Park on Saturday.
