Why Bruno, Brandon and co just love United's black kit
Bruno Fernandes may only have played a handful of away games for Manchester United but he has already fallen in love with one of the adidas kits the Reds wear on the road - the black third shirt.
The Portuguese playmaker even wore it around the house last week, for one of the exclusive United Hangout videos that we're bringing to you from the players' homes on a regular basis.
"I really like this one. For me, this one is really beautiful," Bruno told us, when answering a fan's question on away shirts. And our fashionable signing from Sporting Lisbon isn't the only current Red with reason to favour the black kit.
Here, we take a look at the players who also love the black kit...
The January loan signing scored an absolute screamer, our Goal of the Month for March no less, when wearing the third strip in our very last game before the coronavirus lockdown.
But if you want to see Ighalo's magic moment again, set in the context of a brilliant team performance in the black kit, be sure to vote for it as Thursday's live stream when our Match Rewind: Europa League poll opens.
The 19-year-old will always remember the afternoon in November when he bagged his first senior goal for the Reds - in black. After trailing 2-0 to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men achieved an incredible turnaround, triggered by Williams rifling in a tremendous half-volley. Seven minutes later, Mason Greenwood - with his maiden Premier League strike - and Marcus Rashford were also on the scoresheet. Although the Blades found a dramatic late leveller through Oliver McBurnie, the overriding memories from that thrilling 3-3 draw are Brandon's brilliant effort and the exhilarating comeback achieved by our Academy graduates.
Less than a month earlier, there had been a blueprint of sorts for the Sheffield United game when our Under-21s also wore black in South Yorkshire - and Greenwood also scored. This time, the Reds' impressive recovery from going behind delivered all three points; Mason was the matchwinner, weaving past a pair of Doncaster Rovers defenders before drilling the ball under the goalkeeper in the fourth additional minute. Our other scorer in this 2-1 win in Leasing.com Trophy Group H was Ethan Galbrath with a glorious volley.
