Bruno's apology to Fantasy League managers

The Manchester United captain sparkled during our last Premier League outing, against Everton on Sunday, and contributed an assist for Anthony Martial to score the final goal in a 3-0 victory.

In terms of the hugely popular online game, he ended up with a tally of six points but missed out on the bonus, with these going to Diogo Dalot, Martial and Andre Onana. However, Bruno's brother was upset that he'd introduced his sibling into his own fantasy side and let the midfielder know his frustration that Bruno decided to pass up the opportunity to score from the penalty spot at Goodison Park.

The skipper instead handed the ball to Marcus Rashford, who slammed it past Jordan Pickford, to make the score 2-0 at the time. 

In an interview with ICS, Fernandes revealed: "No, he told me today, he just texted me, to say thank you for giving the penalty to Rashy, in the week I put you in my team. I said to him you should have me in your team every week. That's your problem!

"I said to him, and I say to all the fantasy league managers, that I apologise to them. I'm going to still score some goals for them in the future."

He will be looking to maintain his current level of performance, after being nominated for our Player of the Month award for November, when Erik ten Hag's men tackle Newcastle United on Saturday night.

"It's another tough place to go," he admitted. "It's a great atmosphere, a team that is playing really good football - attractive, strong, quick and physical too. It's a team that has been improving a lot in the last two years, in the way of playing, and I think it's going to be another tough game, as every game in the Premier League is. Obviously, we have to be aware of the atmosphere there but we're going there to get our three points.

"They press really high, are strong and quick, and have a very physical team with a lot of qualities, players with great qualities. There's a lot of goalscorers also in the team and they can play direct football, they can play from behind. It's a team that is coming from a good result against Chelsea [last weekend] and it's about us understanding what we can do to hurt them and be our most focused in the 90 minutes to win our duels and win the game."
