Casemiro continues to show his scoring influence
One of the positives amid the disappointment of Monday’s loss was the ongoing connection between Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes in the opposition box.
Midway through the second half, with the team down to 10 men and trailing 2-0, our Brazilian midfielder latched onto the captain’s looping cross to score at the back post, setting up a spirited end to the game.
It was Casemiro’s eighth goal of the season so far and, notably, his previous six strikes have all been set up by Fernandes passes.
