Confirmed: United's first game in the new away kit
Manchester United’s adidas away kit for the 2020/21 season is now available to buy around the world, ahead of the team wearing the new strip for the first time on Sunday night.
It is a huge occasion that offers a route to the competition’s showpiece finale, which will be against Internazionale or Shakhtar Donetsk next Friday night at the same stadium.
United reached this stage of the tournament by recording a 1-0 win over FC Copenhagen in last Sunday’s quarter-final, courtesy of a confident Bruno Fernandes penalty in extra-time.
The Reds wore the new adidas 2020/21 home kit for that game following its worldwide release earlier this month, and both kits are now available to order from United Direct.
Sunday’s match will be broadcast live in the UK via BT Sport and, of course, you can follow unrivalled updates via our Official App and ManUtd.com.
MUTV will also be live at Stadion Koln from 18:55 BST to supply brilliant build-up, radio commentary of the action and exclusive reaction to the outcome.
Support the team on Sunday night and see our new away kit in action for the first time.
The club’s first-ever kit under the Newton Heath name was green and yellow, and adidas says our new away jersey takes its inspiration from that colour. It has been designed to look good wherever it is worn and aligns to the adidas ethos of
“stadium to street”.
The engineered pattern is integrating the current trend of hand-painted graphics and camouflage. The latter is made up of hand-drawn waves which symbolise the three rivers of Manchester, in the Irwell, Irk and Medlock, which all appear on the City of Manchester coat of arms.
The new Manchester United away kit is available to buy today, exclusively at adidas.com/football, adidas stores and United Direct.
