Confirmed: Women's FA Cup semi-final details

Tuesday 28 March 2023 15:00

Details regarding Manchester United Women's clash against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Vitality Women's FA Cup semi-final have been finalised.

The tie has been brought forward a day and will now take place on Saturday 15 April, with kick-off set for 17:15 BST at Leigh Sports Village.

Tickets are still available for the blockbuster event, as Marc Skinner's side chase down a potential place in the final, with that game taking place at Wembley Stadium later this year.

United advanced to this stage of the competition for the first time earlier this month, following our 3-1 victory at Lewes in the quarter-finals.

The game has also been chosen for live broadcast, with the encounter set to be shown live on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.

Drawn to face the Seagulls, just like our men's team have been in their own FA Cup semi-final, the Reds have also seen off Championship sides Sunderland and Durham to reach this stage of the competition.

Having already faced Albion at home in the WSL so far this season, United ran out 4-0 winners thanks to goals from Ella Toone (2), Leah Galton and Adriana Leon.

Bidding to make history by reaching this year's showpiece event, Skinner's side also currently lead the way in the WSL table and travel to play Brighton this weekend, in the first of back-to-black clashes against Amy Merricks's side.

The other semi-final, between Aston Villa and Chelsea, will now take place on Sunday 16 April, with kick-off in that game scheduled for 14:15 BST at Walsall's Bescot Stadium.
