Van de Beek has to let the European Championship pass by. The midfielder is struggling with an injury. As a result, he is not available in time for EURO 2020. Frank de Boer will not call a replacement for Van de Beek.
Get well soon, Donny! 🙏
Van de Beek was on the bench for the recent 2-2 friendly draw with Scotland but has not been working with the main group in training.
Hopefully, he will be fully fit when required to return for pre-season at the Aon Training Complex.
The Netherlands will play all of their three Group C games in Amsterdam, facing Ukraine, Austria and North Macedonia.
Donny's withdrawal means there will now be 11 United players representing their countries in the finals, which get under way on Friday when Turkey take on Italy.
