Early team news for Partizan Belgrade clash
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be assessing his options ahead of Thursday's Europa League tie against Partizan Belgrade.
The Reds can clinch qualification for the knockout stages by beating the Serbian side but there is also another home match, against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League, on the horizon, with Sunday's fixture the last before the international break.
It means there could be some juggling involved when it comes to selecting squads for the two games at Old Trafford.
Captain Ashley Young is suspended for the Brighton clash, after picking up a fifth booking during the defeat at Bournemouth, which could mean he features against Partizan.
Brandon Williams has impressed in his outings at left-back and must also be under consideration, while Phil Jones started in the away game in the Serbian capital and will hope for some more minutes at centre-back.
James Garner was also in the XI when making his full debut in Belgrade and his absence from the Under-23s squad, like Williams and Mason Greenwood, could hint at another sprinkling of youth for the European test.
There should be an injury update on Wednesday, when the manager holds a press conference and speaks to MUTV around 13:30 GMT. Earlier in the day, some clues will be yielded from the open training session in front of the media.
Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot, Tim Fosu-Mensah, Luke Shaw, Axel Tuanzebe, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Angel Gomes were all sidelined at the weekend.
Hopefully, there will be some good news on this front, particularly with a very busy spell coming up after the internationals.
David De Gea has only played once in this competition this term, against AZ Alkmaar, with Sergio Romero keeping goal in the other two outings, so the Argentinian looks in a good position to be handed the gloves on the night.
There could be a question mark over the system United will use after Ole opted for a three-man defence in certain matches recently. However, the fact the boss switched to a back-four at the Vitality Stadium and the expectation that the onus will be on the Reds to force the play at home, could point towards the usual 4-2-3-1 formation being employed.
