Manchester United’s eSports team will be hoping to secure a place in the knockout stage of the eFootball Championship Pro 2022 this Sunday.

You will be able to watch every minute of the action live and for free on ManUtd.com's homepage and our official YouTube channel, in what is a double matchday for our gaming trio of captain Eldridge O’Niel, Kamel El Morabet and Mikolay Zietek.

The Reds will each face a member of the corresponding teams of AS Monaco and Celtic, as we close out the group phase of the campaign with six big games in total!

Watch the best bits from our matches on the opening weekend of the eFootball Championship Pro 2022...

Last weekend, we opened our tournament against Bayern Munich, taking four points from our three games.

Skipper O’Niel played out an entertaining 4-4 draw with a member of the Bavarian side, before El Morabet clinched our first victory of the tournament, triumphing 3-1 – a result that means there’s a competition prize United fans could win!

Later in the day, Zietek was narrowly edged out by a 2-1 scoreline, having originally taken the lead in the contest.

A win, a draw and a loss in the opening round sees us currently occupy third spot in Group A - behind Celtic and Bayern who have played twice as many matches so far - with the top three sides in the group advancing to the next round at the end of Sunday’s fixtures.

Our eFootball trio were guests on Friday’s episode of United Daily, where they previewed this weekend’s assignments, with the immediate focus on our first opposition of the day, Monaco.

“Monaco are an upcoming opponent, it will be a very hard game, they have a very strong squad,” said El Morabet.

“It will be a hard game, but I think we have all our chances, and we will do our best to win.”
