Emirates FA Cup quarter-final draw details

Thursday 11 February 2021 09:45

Manchester United are two matches away from the Emirates FA Cup final at Wembley, following our 1-0 fifth-round win against West Ham United at Old Trafford.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men beat David Moyes’ side with thanks to Scott McTominay’s extra-time winner and the Reds go marching on, making it seven successive years that we have reached this stage of the competition.

Now we’re into the hat for the last eight, and looking for a second successive Wembley appearance in the semis, having played Chelsea at Wembley at the same stage last July.

But when will we find out who our opponents will be in the next round?

There is not long to wait.

The draw for quarter-finals will take place this Thursday evening, just ahead of the final fifth-round tie of the week, between Barnsley and Chelsea, and following BT Sport’s coverage of the penultimate tie of the round between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton.

The draw will take place at approximately 19:45 GMT from the BT Sport studios.

United will be ball number two in the draw and the matches will be played on or around the weekend of 20 March, when the Reds were set to be playing away at Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Already in the hat alongside United from Tuesday night’s fifth round ties are Championship side Bournemouth who beat Burnley 2-0 at Turf Moor, while on Wednesday, Premier League sides Manchester City, Leicester City, Sheffield United and Everton ensured their names will be in the hat.
