Ten Hag names team to tackle Magpies

Erik ten Hag has selected his Manchester United side to face Newcastle United in the Reds' final home game of the 2023/24 season.

Ten Hag's men are desperate for three welcome points that would maintain our hopes of qualifying for European football next season via our league placing. A win would draw us level on points with the visitors, although still behind on goal difference.

Of course, success in the Emirates FA Cup would guarantee a slot in next term's Europa League.

The boss has moved Rasmus Hojlund to the bench which begs the question as to who will feature up front. Fit-again Bruno Fernandes could get the nod in a 'false-nine' position, with Amad and Alejandro Garnacho providing flair on the flanks.

Scott McTominay, who ended the game against Arsenal in an advanced role at the weekend, is another option to lead the line.

Fernandes for Hojlund is the only change but there is the welcome sight of Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford returning to the bench.
