Ten Hag names side to take on Burnley

Erik ten Hag has selected his Manchester United team to face Burnley at Old Trafford.

The Reds are looking to record back-to-back home victories this week, following the 4-2 triumph over Sheffield United on Wednesday night.

Mason Mount makes a welcome return to the matchday squad, as expected, while Casemiro continues in defence, alongside Harry Maguire.

The first time Casemiro played in the role as a Red was actually against the Clarets, in a Carabao Cup tie, just before Christmas in 2022.

It is an unchanged side named by Ten Hag, with the same XI that started against the Blades on duty again.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot could switch flanks but the former was on the right in midweek.

Ethan Wheatley, who made his senior debut late on last time out, becoming our 250th all-time Academy graduate in the process, retains a place on the bench.

Ten Hag suggested in his pre-match interview that Scott McTominay is only capable of playing half an hour to 45 minutes, due to his fitness.

United: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro, Maguire, Dalot; Mainoo, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes (c), Garnacho; Hojlund.

Substitutes: Bayindir, Amass, Jackson, Amrabat, McTominay, Mount, Amad, Forson, Wheatley.
