Manchester United's Fred takes on a Brighton player.

Brighton v United: The essential information

Monday 29 June 2020 09:00

Manchester United go back to the bread-and-butter of Premier League action on Tuesday, when we travel to the south coast to take on Brighton & Hove Albion.

As well as beating Norwich 2-1 on Saturday to reach the Emirates FA Cup semi-finals, the Reds have taken four league points from our two top-flight games since the season restarted on 19 June, and need another three at the Amex Stadium if we are to continue putting the pressure on Leicester City and Chelsea in the race for a Champions League spot.

United comfortably saw off the Seagulls 3-1 at Old Trafford in November, but we have been beaten on both our previous visits to Brighton’s new ground.

Here’s what you need to know before Tuesday’s game, including TV information, who the referee is, and more…

Key match info
says

Tuesday 30 June | Premier League | Amex Stadium | 20:15 BST | Live build-up on MUTV from 19:10 BST | Referee: Andre Marriner

WHICH TV CHANNEL IS IT ON?

Tuesday’s game will be broadcast live in the UK, on Sky Sports, Sky One and also Pick, which is Sky's free-to-air channel. MUTV subscribers can watch exclusive build-up in the Match Day Live show from 19:10 BST, followed by live commentary of the game itself. With fans unable to attend the matches, our Season Ticket Holders have been offered free access to MUTV Digital for two months, and can watch match highlights the following day, along with the rest of our exclusive content.

WHO IS THE REFEREE?

Andre Marriner is the official tasked with taking charge of Tuesday’s match. The 49-year-old has refereed one United outing already this season – the thrilling 3-3 draw at Sheffield United in November, and he was most recently seen at the Etihad Stadium, where he ran the rule over Manchester City in their 5-0 win over Burnley last Monday. Marriner will be assisted by linesmen Constantine Hatzidakis and Neil Davies, with Stuart Attwell as the fourth official. Andy Madley will be responsible for VAR at Stockley Park, and he will be aided by Andy Garratt.

RIVALS WATCH

Partly due to the weekend’s Emirates FA Cup ties, Matchweek 32 of the Premier League is spread across six days. It started with Wolves’ 1-0 away win over Aston Villa in the Midlands derby on Saturday afternoon and continued on Sunday when relegation-threatened Watford lost 3-1 at home to Southampton. Burnley travel to Crystal Palace this evening (Monday) and after our Tuesday trip to Brighton, the rest of the games are split across Wednesday and Thursday, with newly-crowned champions’ Liverpool’s trip to Manchester City bringing the round to a close.
