Five important messages for supporters

Thursday 04 November 2021 17:00

It’s derby weekend, with Manchester City visiting Old Trafford for our Premier League fixture, which kicks off at 12.30 GMT on Saturday.

Are you attending? Here’s what you need to know…

Walter Smith
Following the sad passing of our former assistant manager Walter Smith last week, we will pause for a moment of silence before kick-off to remember his contribution to the club and to the game. Rest in peace, Walter.

Remembrance Activities
Ahead of Armistice Day next week, we will also be honouring those who have served and sacrificed in conflicts across the world. Be in your seats early to join us in paying our respects.

Look out for the Royal British Legion volunteers, who will be outside the stadium on Saturday to raise funds and distribute poppies to be worn.
Own a match-worn shirt from this weekend’s game
As part of this year’s Remembrance events, and to support the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal, United will wear special-edition embroidered shirts against Manchester City.

The shirts are being auctioned throughout November and December, with the funds raised going to the Royal British Legion, as the charity marks its centenary.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to own a piece of history while supporting the Royal British Legion’s vital work. Get involved in the auction now.
Reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19
It is everyone’s responsibility to protect themselves and others from contracting COVID-19. Our Code of Conduct has been introduced to reduce the risk of COVID-19 being spread when fans attend Old Trafford.

Please take a moment to read it over as you may be denied entry or asked to leave the stadium if you do not comply.
COVID-19 certification – are you exempt?
COVID-19 certification checks will again be in place before the game – all fans over 18 must be prepared to show their NHS COVID Pass.

The Government has allowed those with a valid exemption to register their status with the NHS. Registering will allow you to generate an NHS COVID Pass in the same way as if you had completed full vaccination or recorded a negative test.

All supporters who are exempt will be required to demonstrate their status in this way from mid-December. For further information on Government COVID Certification exemption policy, please click here

We recommend that supporters declare their exemption with the NHS before this requirement comes into force in mid-December as it takes a few weeks to process.

Enjoy the game!
