Manchester United midfielder Ethan Galbraith has joined Salford City on loan for the 2022/23 season, subject to registration.

The 21-year-old embarks on his second temporary move away from the club and will further his development under former United Under-23s lead coach Neil Wood.

The Ammies have enjoyed a positive start to the campaign, and currently sit fourth in the table after winning four of their first six games in League Two.

Galbraith will continue his progress in a new environment whilst being closely monitored and supported by United staff.

The Northern Ireland international made his first-team debut in the Europa League clash with Astana in 2019 and has once again trained regularly with the senior set-up this pre-season.

Galbraith featured 36 times for Doncaster Rovers during a loan spell there last season, whilst also captaining his country's Under-21s side in their European Championship qualifiers.
The midfielder, who joined United at the age of 16, is the fifth Professional Development Phase player to leave the club on loan during the window as the Academy continues to prioritise individual player development.

Everybody at United would like to wish Ethan the best of luck this term as we follow his progress at the Peninsula Stadium.
