Manchester United's bid to win the Emirates FA Cup ended at the semi-final stage on Sunday, when Chelsea ran out 3-1 winners at Wembley Stadium.
The disappointing defeat also brought an end to the Reds' 19-match unbeaten run across all competitions, with Bruno Fernandes's consolation strike from the penalty spot - his ninth goal for the club - coming too late to inspire a fightback.
Earlier, Olivier Giroud, Mason Mount and, inadvertently, United captain Harry Maguire had all steered the ball past David De Gea.
