Mason Mount only played for 45 minutes in Oslo, but his first appearance in the iconic Manchester United shirt was enough to excite supporters about his future as a Red.
Our summer signing from Chelsea started the friendly against Leeds and immediately caught the eye, showing flashes of his creativity and work-rate.
Early in the first half, Mount’s visionary pass out wide led to our first real chance of the game, when Amad and Hannibal both had attempts at goal.
Later, Mason’s aggressive pressing helped him to reclaim possession and hit a deft chip from distance that very nearly made it 1-0.

Erik ten Hag made 11 changes at the start of the second half and a noticeably younger squad went on to secure an excellent 2-0 win, thanks to goals by Noam Emeran and Joe Hugill. It was an accomplished display from the team of Academy starlets and fans are full of praise…
