Granada announce squad for second leg

Granada have announced their travelling squad ahead of the Europa League quarter-final second leg against Manchester United.

The Spaniards have named an almost full-strength group, with just two senior players absent for Diego Martinez.

Luis Milla, who has been missing with a long-term muscle injury for weeks, was not expected to be included in the squad and has not been named on the 27-man roster.

Nor has Domingos Duarte, who was replaced in the first leg through injury. The Portuguese defender also missed the weekend win over Real Valladolid and is suspended, in any case, after receiving a yellow card for bringing down Daniel James when hurting himself.

Duarte will be a big miss for Granada, with the 26-year-old earning two caps for Portugal in 2020.

Yan Brice Eteki is also banned following his booking last week, according to UEFA, but is in the squad.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado is also among the 27 players flying to Manchester, as are Domingos Quina, Yangel Herrera and Kenedy, who are all on loan from English sides.

It’s United who, of course, hold the advantage from the first leg, with goals from Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes giving us a 2-0 lead away from home.

That means Los Nazaries must score at least twice at the Theatre of Dreams if they have any hope of making it to the semi-final stage in their first season of European football.

Granada squad in full:

Rui Silva, Dimitri Foulquier, Nehuen Perez, Maxime Gonalons, German, Luis Suarez, Yan Eteki, Roberto Soldado, Antonio Puertas, Darwin Machis, Domingos Quina, Aaron, Fede Vico, Carlos Neva, Victor Diaz, Quini, Adrian Marin, Angel Montoro, Jesus Vallejo, Jorge Molina, Kenedy, Alberto Soro, Pepe Sanchez, Isma Ruiz, Raul Torrente, Arnau.
