Maguire's message to United fans after defeat to City
Club captain Harry Maguire has sent a message to Manchester United supporters after Saturday's disappointing defeat to local rivals City.
United had hoped to draw level on points with the Blues in the Premier League with victory at Old Trafford, but two first-half goals condemned the Reds to defeat.
Maguire has taken to social media, posting a message that you can see below, offering his thoughts on the game and thanking the United fans for the continued support of the team.
As a group of players we are going through a tough period. We know and accept this is nowhere near good enough. We feel your frustration and disappointment, we are doing everything we can to put things right and we will put things right.

Club football now pauses at the top level for the upcoming international break.
The Reds' next opportunity to bounce back will be away at Watford in the Premier League on 20 November. Until then, much of the squad will travel to meet up with their national teams while the remaining players will continue to work hard at Carrington.
