Anthony Martial got the ball rolling in the first half when he blasted past Manchester City keeper Ederson. The striker fastened onto Bruno Fernandes's clever free-kick after half an hour, before drilling the ball into the bottom corner of the goal, despite Ederson getting a touch to it.

While it was a nervy second half at times, Scott McTominay ensured it was the sweetest of endings in injury time, when the Scotland international managed to net a Goal-of-the-Season contender. Our no.39 anticipated Ederson's misplaced throw, before curling the ball from way out into the back of the unguarded net.
