How TeamViewer transforms matchdays
Staff at Manchester United have revealed how TeamViewer is helping to revolutionise the way they work in the days leading up to matchdays at Old Trafford.
The club's head groundsman Tony Sinclair recalls how Sir Alex Ferguson used to remark that, after the team, the most important thing was the condition of the pitches.
So the ability of Tony’s staff to water the pitch remotely and efficiently at half-time using TeamViewer’s software, Tensor, has been a game-changer.
It comes down to this!
Our ground and Megastore staff, profiled in TeamViewer's Every Day Is Game Day videos, are ready for tonight...
“We used to use hosepipes but we could only water before the game because we’d never have been able to get the pipes out and back in again during half-time,” Tony says.
“Now we have the ability to just go 'bang, bag' and it's done. And if we can get the pitch to its optimum, that hopefully is contributing to the team’s performance.”
Chris, who has worked in the Megastore for 24 years, illustrates how TeamViewer software has greatly expedited the stock-taking process – a vital task in preparing for matchdays, when around 15,000 fans come into the store.
The stock checks, done using TeamViewer Frontline AR-enabled software, allow the Megastore team fast access to stock data reporting with a paper-free digitalised process.
“It was a very manual process previously,” Chris says. “It would probably take 15 or 20 minutes – now it’s taking two or three minutes.
“TeamViewer Frontline technology has really helped us to streamline our processes and we have seen an increase in staff productivity.
“It frees them to be supporting customers as it’s all available to them via the headsets on the shop floor.”
