Manchester United trio Mary Earps, Ella Toone and Katie Zelem are all set to represent England in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup final on Sunday.

Our three Lionesses are currently preparing for the historic clash with Spain (11:00 BST KO) in Sydney, just a few days on from a thrilling semi-final victory over co-hosts Australia.

That win was the latest chapter of what has been an enthralling journey for our English Reds, who will be hoping to help their nation achieve the fairy-tale ending at the tournament this weekend.

Ahead of the final, we've rounded up everything you need to know below - from TV and live coverage info, to the story so far and more...

ROAD TO THE FINAL

Our Lionesses trio have all played their part in England's journey to this weekend's grand finale at Stadium Australia.

Earps hasn't missed a minute of the tournament for the European champions, and our goalkeeper has kept three clean sheets so far in the competition, two of which came in back-to-back 1-0 wins over Haiti and Denmark in the group stage.

On their third and final matchday of that phase, the Lionesses defeated China 6-1 to progress as Group D winners, with United skipper Zelem impressing on her World Cup debut in that fixture.

Having started the games against Haiti and Denmark, Toone was named among the substitutes for the victory over China and the last-16 triumph versus Nigeria on penalties, but regained her starting spot for the wins against Colombia (quarter-final) and Australia (semi-final), scoring the opener in the latter.

A meeting with Spain now awaits, a side that England beat on their way to being crowned Euro 2022 winners last summer, coming out on top in a last-eight tie that Toone netted a crucial equaliser in.

WHAT'S BEEN SAID

Fresh from netting the opener on Wednesday, Tooney appeared on England's official Lionesses Down Under show alongside team-mate Jess Carter, to look back on the success and to preview the final.

Speaking to co-presenters Jill Scott and Kyle Walker, our midfielder explained the feeling of securing a shot at glory in Sunday's big match.

“It’s so special, but the turnaround is so quick, you don’t even have time to think about it," Ella explained.

“We were walking round the pitch at the end of the game [against Australia] and I think I said to one of the girls: ‘Wow, we’re actually going to a World Cup final, let that sink in. That’s something we’ve all dreamed of as little girls.'

“So, obviously we’re so buzzing and I think it will definitely kick in when we step out onto the pitch.”
