How to watch United Women v Bayern Munich

Thursday 18 August 2022 16:20

United Women are back in action on Friday night, as we face Bayern Munich in the final of the AMOS Women's French Cup, after overcoming PSG 1-0 on Tuesday.

Following the impressive victory over our Ligue 1 Feminine opponents earlier this week, only Bayern stand between Skinner's side and triumph in the pre-season tournament.

Kick-off against the Frauen-Bundesliga side is set for 20:00 BST at the Stade Ernest-Wallon in Toulouse, and there's good news for supporters in the UK and Ireland - it's being shown live on MUTV.

The highly-anticipated final is unfortunately not available elsewhere due to the various broadcasting rights.

Our Under-21s' Premier League 2 clash with Everton was originally due to be screened at 19:00 BST.

However, due to Skinner's side reaching the final of the AMOS Cup, United Women's fixture will be shown instead.

Highlights from our clash with the Toffees will be shown in the United App shortly after the match.

Coverage of the Under-18s' fixture with Nottingham Forest at Carrington on Saturday (12:30 BST kick-off) will go ahead as planned.

The clash with Bayern will give United supporters the chance to see Skinner's summer signings in action once more.

Maya Le Tissier, Grace Clinton, Adriana Leon and Lucia Garcia all made their first appearances for the Reds in Tuesday's victory over PSG, with skipper Katie Zelem scoring the all-important winning goal in the second half.

Earlier this week, Skinner highlighted the need for United to test ourselves, and after the Reds overcame the two-time Champions League finalists on Tuesday, Bayern present another steep challenge.

The German side defeated current Champions League holders Barcelona in the other semi-final, and have been bolstered this summer by arrivals such as England midfielder Georgia Stanway from Manchester City.

Last season's Frauen-Bundesliga runners-up have started pre-season strongly and will be hoping to continue their form against United on Friday.
