How to watch One Love: United Across Borders

‘United Across Borders’ tells the stories of six official Supporters’ Clubs in Australia, Botswana, China, India, Ukraine and the United States of America. 

The members are all from different cultures and lead different lives, but they have one thing in common: a love of the Reds and following our club from afar.

That means watching matches in unsociable hours and often travelling great distances to be with like-minded Reds, but it’s all worth it for that sense of community and camaraderie. Matchday is absolutely everything.

The film will be streamed via the United App from 19:00 BST on Friday, before it is available on demand from 20:00.

The film takes you around the globe and starts in Gaborone, Botswana, with a local match between supporters. Long-standing members Geoffrey and Torno tell us how United has helped them “gain friends and gain family”.

In Kyiv, branch founder Anatoli speaks emotionally about how his community of Reds has supported one another during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. It is an extremely powerful section of the film, and we will share more of their story later this week. 

Next, we hit Chicago and the Windy City, where a community of fans has flourished in recent years, with crowds flocking to a local pub to watch games.

It’s a familiar scene in Beijing, where we spend time with Zhang, who has a special connection to United after studying at the University of Manchester. 

As we also see in New South Wales and Mumbai, our supporters are watching games at all hours and sharing the experiences with fellow Reds. 

Indeed, our official Supporters’ Clubs play a vital role in bringing people together and ‘United Across Borders’ tells that story with extraordinary colour.
