#ILOVEUNITED USA goes global for Chelsea game
Manchester United’s live virtual fan event, #ILOVEUNITED, is going global with a focus on the USA, in the build-up to its much-anticipated match against Chelsea on 28 February 2021.
The 90-minute pre-match programme will be hosted by MUTV presenter Mark Sullivan, who will be joined at Old Trafford by co-host and NFL legend Osi Umenyiora, and live from Los Angeles by Lord of The Rings actor Dominic Monaghan. Both lifelong fans of the club, they will be sharing their best United memories and pre-match analysis alongside club legends Denis Irwin and Dion Dublin.
From US supporters clubs to fanatical celebrities, viewers will be joined live by some of our most dedicated US followers ahead of the Chelsea game.
The programme will also include an exclusive in-depth interview with US World Cup winner and Manchester United Women’s forward, Tobin Heath, on how she is settling into life in Manchester, and live pre-match insights from men’s first-team manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
“Manchester United has been taking its physical #ILOVEUNITED event all over the world for the past eight years, bringing thousands of fans together in their support for the club, many of whom might never have the chance to visit Old Trafford but still support us week-in, week-out.
“At a time when fans in many parts of the world are restricted from viewing matches together because of the pandemic, we have found new ways of uniting our supporters. The virtual #ILOVEUNITED event gives fans the platform to enjoy entertaining bespoke content in the safety of their homes, whilst still feeling a part of our global network of fans.”
