New Inside United available now

The new edition of official club magazine Inside United is on sale, with plenty for readers to get stuck into.

Sergio Reguilon is the player on the front cover and, inside the issue, the Spaniard gives his answers to a raft of questions provided by supporters – and those answers you can exclusively read first in the magazine (want to know who his famous superstar friend is in another sport, for example, or who he would pick in his ultimate five-a-side team?).

Scott McTominay is another player to share his thoughts with the mag, with the midfielder – in an interview conducted well before his weekend heroics, by the way! – taking a look at some of the numbers that define his career so far, including his goals tally (now upped by a couple, of course).

Manchester United Women are under way in a historic season, and Marc Skinner’s side are well represented in the magazine, with interviews from captain Katie Zelem and Players’ Player of the Year Hannah Blundell (both of whom were in Champions League action for the Reds for the first time last night, of course).

Twelve great ‘nearly’ United goals

From Cantona's lob to Ibrahimovic's volley, relive a selection of classic goals that never were…

Legends of the past take their place among today’s stars, too, with Rio Ferdinand and Owen Hargreaves talking about their Champions League memories and experiences – yep, you can expect Moscow 2008 to come up!

Going further back, we rewind the clock 40 years to the debut of Mark Hughes, and salute the inimitable Sparky four decades on (and nod to the great striker’s upcoming 60th birthday).

Hughes also makes an appearance in a highly entertaining – if a little bittersweet – feature looking back at some of the great ‘nearly goals’ in United’s history. Those shots that would have been absolute classics, apart from the fact they narrowly missed or were denied by goalkeepers or goalframes.

Eric Cantona plays a starring part in this feature, while the likes of Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic also have near-misses mourned (go to watch a video collection of some of these classic nearly moments).

There’s a lot more packed into the magazine’s 100 pages, including match previews, Academy insight, fan contributions and of course the regular quiz.

It’s a mighty mouthful for Reds of all ages, and the November issue of Inside United is on sale now in shops and newsagents, at the Megastore, at Old Trafford on matchdays, and it can be bought online or subscribed to here.
