Benjamin Sesko and Amad were both in action for Slovenia and Ivory Coast, respectively, on Friday.

Sesko played the full 90 minutes in a World Cup qualifier against Sweden, in the Stozice Stadium.

Former Red Anthony Elanga opened the scoring for the visitors in the first half before Sandi Lovric levelled things up shortly after start of the second period.

Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte and Bryan Mbeumo all helped their countries record 3-0 victories.

Yasin Ayari restored Sweden's lead late on but they were denied all three points at the death, largely thanks to our summer signing.

Benjamin won a battle with two defenders to nod the ball forward. It ricocheted off the back of Isak Hien into the path of Zan Vipotnik, who hammered the ball in via the post.

Slovenia will play Switzerland on Monday in their second qualifier, before Sesko returns to Manchester.

Also in World Cup qualifying, Amad helped Ivory Coast to a 1-0 win against Burundi.

Vakoun Bayo's third-minute finish was the difference between the sides, as Amad began the game on the right and played 67 minutes before being withdrawn for former Arsenal man Nicolas Pepe.

Elsewhere, Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu was an unused substitute in Denmark's 0-0 draw with Scotland. Rasmus Hojlund, who moved to Napoli on loan on transfer deadline day, came off the bench in the second half.

England's Under-20s fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat to Italy, which Ayden Heaven started. Elyh Harrison and Ethan Wheatley, on loan from United to Shrewsbury Town and Northampton Town respectively, also featured for the Three Lions.
