Inside United hails new season
The latest edition of the club's official monthly magazine Inside United is on sale from today – with a big focus on the start of the new season and the opening weeks of the 2024/25 campaign.
Bruno Fernandes leads the way on the front cover, flanked by Joshua Zirkzee and Lisandro Martinez, all decked out in the new home kit and ready to go into battle for the Reds.
Inside the magazine, Bruno's importance to Erik ten Hag's side is highlighted in a feature looking at some of the amazing stats that the captain has racked up during his four-and-a-half seasons so far at the club, including world-class creativity numbers and almost bulletproof durability – assets that the Portuguese playmaker can bring to bear in the season ahead as we strive to start well and build momentum.
Joshua Zirkzee also features in the issue, and he's a player that United supporters are eager to see make an impact in 2024/25. The Dutchman describes himself as a "creative player, good with the ball", as well as saying he can be "a bit unpredictable at times" – making him a compelling prospect as we await his United debut, which could come against Fulham at Old Trafford in the opening game of the Premier League season on Friday night.
That match is covered among the magazine's match previews, as are the two following Premier League fixtures played while the edition is on sale, away at Brighton and then at home to Liverpool on 1 September, a game that the mag hails as "one of the standout showdowns of the season". It never takes added storylines to make Manchester United versus Liverpool a mighty occasion, but remember that this will be the first time the Merseysiders go against us without Jurgen Klopp at their helm since 2015.
To keep track of those fixtures and the rest of the campaign, there's also a free A2 poster included with the issue, listing our Premier League schedule as well as United Women's 2024/25 WSL programme.
Elsewhere in the magazine, names to be found include Dimitar Berbatov, Paul Scholes and Antonio Valencia (all of whom are down to play in the Legends game against Celtic at Old Trafford on 7 September), Ryan Giggs and Norman Whiteside (who feature as Academy graduates picked out in a celebration of our 250 milestone) – not to mention Ruud van Nistelrooy, now of course back as part of Erik ten Hag's staff.
There's a lot more in the issue, including something to pique club history enthusiasts and plenty of fan representation (including official members, a rapper, a Paralympian and a renowned Manchester band).
The September edition of Inside United is on sale now in newsagents, shops, at Old Trafford on matchdays, and can be bought or subscribed to online here.
