Bailly to return from injury at Huddersfield

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed his latest team news ahead of the Emirates FA Cup fifth-round tie at Huddersfield Town.

Speaking to MUTV, the boss revealed defender Eric Bailly is back in training after ankle surgery. The influential Ivory Coast international has been out since November and his return should provide a timely boost as he is a fresh option for selection on Saturday.

Ander Herrera and Marcus Rashford remain sidelined after being unavailable for the last outing, the 1-0 Premier League defeat at Newcastle United, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still recovering full fitness and Marouane Fellaini has a knee injury.

"We want to go to the quarter-finals so we go with a serious approach," the boss told MUTV. "I have more Premier Leagues and League Cups so, of course, I'd like more [FA Cups] but I'm not thinking about myself. I'm thinking about the club and the fans."

When addressing reporters at his press conference, Jose also confirmed Paul Pogba will play against the Terriers, despite some suggestions he was carrying a knock against Newcastle.

Mourinho began his media briefing by explaining why Huddersfield will not spring any surprises on Saturday...

For the hosts, Tommy Smith should be available after missing the win over Bournemouth with a head injury but Chris Lowe and Laurent Depoitre are doubts. Elias Kacunga is a long-term absentee.

Huddersfield beat United 2-1 in the league at the John Smith's Stadium but were defeated 2-0 at Old Trafford earlier this month.
