Watch the Liam Miller match for free

Monday 24 September 2018 16:24

Tuesday’s tribute match in memory of former Manchester United midfielder Liam Miller will be free to watch on MUTV (only via Sky in the UK and Ireland) and globally via social media.

Roy Keane will captain a team of United legends, including Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville, against a combined Celtic and Republic of Ireland team in Cork.

The charity match, which will be played in front of a sell-out crowd of 45,000 fans at Pairc Ui Chaoimh, has been arranged as a tribute to Miller, who passed away in February this year at the age of 36.

Kick-off is at 15:00 BST and the game will be broadcast live globally on our YouTube and Facebook pages. Sky customers in the UK and Ireland can also watch it for free on channel 418, without subscribing to MUTV.

Keane played alongside compatriot and fellow midfielder Miller at United.

Miller made his professional debut with Celtic before later moving to Old Trafford. He scored twice in 22 appearances for the Reds between 2004 and 2006.

Proceeds from the match will be used to help Liam’s wife Clare and their three children, with Marymount Hospice among the charities also benefiting from the day.

Republic of Ireland assistant manager Keane will manage and play for the United legends team, which also includes 1999 Treble-winners Nicky Butt, Andy Cole, Denis Irwin and Ronny Johnsen.

The combined Celtic and Republic of Ireland side will be managed by Martin O'Neill and feature Ireland internationals Damien Duff, Kevin Kilbane and Richard Dunne, while Stylian Petrov will be among the former Celtic players.
