Martinez reacts to his latest injury setback

Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez has posted a message to supporters, after it was confirmed he will be out for eight weeks with a knee injury.

The Argentina international was forced off during the second half of Sunday’s 3-0 Premier League win over West Ham at Old Trafford.

A club statement confirmed the popular defender has suffered an injury to the medial collateral ligament in his knee, and he is now set for a spell on the sidelines.

It is a hugely disappointing setback for Martinez, who only recently returned from a previous long-term injury, but he remains upbeat and determined to bounce back.

In a post on social media, Licha shared a bullish message with our fans.

“I want to give a heartfelt thanks for the great support I've received and to reassure you that I'll soon be back out there, and we'll fight together. Always united!”

We all wish Licha a speedy recovery.
