Friday 04 June 2021 16:54

At this time of year, players' contracts are set to expire across all levels at Manchester United, as the squads start to take shape in advance of the 2021/22 season.

Eight players are being released, and those include first-team goalkeepers Joel Pereira and Sergio Romero, as well as six members of the Academy: Jacob Carney, Mark Helm, Iestyn Hughes, Arnau Puigmal, Max Taylor and Aliou Traore.

We thank them all for their service to the club.

Meanwhile, senior goalkeeper Lee Grant and experienced forward Juan Mata are in discussions over new contracts at United, as well as young stopper Paul Woolston.

Sergio Romero is among the eight players who have been released.
