For the second month in succession, five Manchester United men have been nominated for various Premier League awards, including caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Solskjaer, who took charge of United on 19 December, became the first Reds boss to win the Manager-of-the-Month award since Sir Alex Ferguson in October 2012, and has been nominated once again after three wins in four games.

He joins players Luke Shaw, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford on the list of nominations.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - Manager of the Month

The Norwegian showed no sign of being affected by the ‘curse’ of winning the award in January, as we won three out of our four February fixtures, completing the month unbeaten in the Premier League. Ole is up against Unai Emery, whose Arsenal side scored 10 goals in four games, and Pep Guardiola, whose Manchester City inflicted the Gunners’ only defeat of the month. United kept three clean sheets from four in February, including our 0-0 draw with Liverpool and our scintillating 3-0 victory at Fulham, Ole would be the first manager to win successive Manager-of-the-Month awards since Guardiola in 2017.

Paul Pogba - EA Sports Player of the Month

The Frenchman has been outstanding under the guidance of his new caretaker boss, and scored twice in the 3-0 beating of Fulham on 9 February, and assisted Marcus Rashford and Ashley Young goals in wins against Leicester City and Crystal Palace respectively. The midfielder’s inspirational performances have been essential to the Reds’ continued top form.

Pogba is nominated with team-mate Luke Shaw, Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Ashley Barnes (Burnley), Sean Longstaff (Newcastle United), Sadio Mane (Liverpool), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) and Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace).

Luke Shaw - EA Sports Player of the Month

The England left-back has enjoyed a fruitful season, making his most appearances in a league campaign since 2013/14 and scoring his first professional goal. Throughout February, Shaw has impressed further, with an outstanding display at Crystal Palace including an assist for Romelu Lukaku, and one of the performances of the season, nullifying Mo Salah in our home game against Liverpool.

Anthony Martial - Carling Goal of the Month

United’s 3-0 win at Fulham was one of the most dominant first-half displays of the season, and it was embroidered by Martial’s stunning solo goal. The Frenchman slotted home his ninth league goal of the season after picking the ball up in his own half before scything through the Cottagers defence at a blistering pace.

Martial is nominated with team-mate Marcus Rashford, Andre Gomes (Everton), Nathan Redmond (Southampton), Georginio Wijnaldum (Liverpool), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Fabian Schar (Newcastle United) and Sadio Mane (Liverpool).

Marcus Rashford - Carling Goal of the Month

Rashford, who was nominated for three awards in January, winning the PFA Player of the Month and EA Sports Player of the Month awards, has again been nominated for Carling Goal of the Month.

Losing out in this category in January to Andre Schurrle, the England striker has another chance to take home the award, nominated for his fierce finish against Leicester City after Paul Pogba’s deft pass. The goal gave United all three points at the King Power Stadium.
