Could we see a United player on Chicken Shop Date?
When she isn’t interviewing global stars on her hit web show Chicken Shop Date, Amelia Dimoldenberg is cheering on her team: Manchester United.
Amelia chalks her love of the Reds down to her father, who attended Sunday's 2-2 draw against Tottenham at Old Trafford with her.
Enamoured by her surroundings in M16, Amelia, who has interviewed some of the world's biggest stars, including singer Ed Sheeran and Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence, took some time to discuss what makes the Theatre of Dreams so special, and named her United hero.
The 29-year-old also revealed which Reds stars she wants to speak to on her show...
“I’m a United fan mainly because my dad is a United fan,” Amelia told us.
“My dad has been a United fan his whole life, so I feel like it has been passed down to me.
“The first game I came to at Old Trafford was maybe four, five years ago, a Newcastle game. We were all the way up in the Gods, but it was a win though so it was great.”
For a Reds supporter, there are few better sights than our famous home, which Amelia describes as ‘incredible’.
“My favourite thing about Old Trafford is the atmosphere. It’s incredible. The noise, the energy… and it’s so big! It’s such a big stadium.”
The star host has seen her fair share of players come and go, but none were quite as impactful as the man famously donned the no.7 shirt.
“My ultimate United hero has to be David Beckham,” she continued. "Who doesn’t love David Beckham?!”
‘Who doesn’t like David Beckham?’
Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg selects two Reds - one past, one present - to appear on her hit show…
While fond of Becks, Amelia is keen to get a current star on the Chicken Shop Date, for her irrerevent, unique type of interview.
“I’ve been trying to get Marcus Rashford for a long time,” she revealed.
“Football players are so busy, as we know, and their schedule just like never allows for it, but I’m hoping soon I can get a United player.”
