Germany fans at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

#MUFCMundial: Germany

Wednesday 04 July 2018 14:22

Manchester United fan Anastasiya is representing Germany in our #MUFCMundial series as the World Cup in Russia continues.

Her nation may have suffered a shock early exit at the group stage but the young Reds supporter has told us who she is backing to be in the final in Moscow on 15 July…

Which country are you representing and why?
Originally I’m from Belarus but I do live in Germany. As Belarus can’t take part in the World Cup, I’ve been following Germany because I call this place home now. I was sad when Germany left the competition. I think that Brazil and England are going to be in the final, with England to win!

Anastasiya hopes England will go all the way in Russia, now that Germany are out of the tournament.

How would you sum up your feelings about the World Cup using emojis only?
😲⚽🔝❤😍 🇷🇺

Which United star do you think will shine brightest during the World Cup?
Romelu Lukaku!

Lukaku has scored four goals already for Belgium at Russia 2018.

Have you ever been to Old Trafford?
Yes! Back in April, I was at Old Trafford for the 2-1 win over Arsenal and was super lucky to meet Jesse Lingard near the stadium! Of course, I’m supporting him at the World Cup too.

Which player from your national team would you love to see in a United shirt?
I’m going to pick Toni Kroos.

Germany surprisingly finished bottom of Group C after losing 2-0 to South Korea in their final group game.

GET INVOLVED!

As the World Cup continues, we are looking for a United fan to represent each of the 32 nations competing in Russia.

If you would like to get involved, send an email to MUFCMundial@manutd.co.uk with your country in the subject line but please note, we may not be able to respond to every message we receive. Thank you.
