Fans go wild for Bruno's selfless act v Baskasehir

Bruno Fernandes has been described as the best Manchester United signing of the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era, following his influential performance against Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday.

The Portuguese magnifico broke the deadlock with a thunderous first-time strike at Old Trafford and it meant he had reached 20 goals for the Reds in fewer games than any midfielder in history.

Fernandes went on to double the advantage with a simple finish, following a mistake from the goalkeeper.

Incredibly, when a penalty was won, Fernandes then had a chance to score his first United hat-trick, but he selflessly handed the ball to Marcus Rashford in an effort to build his team-mate’s goals tally.

Bruno was voted the Man of the Match by users of our Official App and, over on the club’s Facebook page, supporters were heaping praise on his display and contribution in a red shirt…

Despite becoming the fastest Reds midfielder ever to 20 goals, Fernandes still thinks he can do better...

Luke Holden: “Let me tell you why he let Rashford hit the penalty: because he has an ultimate mentality and he is selfless. Honestly, the best player in the premier league by a country mile.”

Richard Hawkins: “Bruno is by far the best player we have signed in terms of passion and fighting for the badge!”

Sean Lee: “Bruno is the main talisman for the team. He cares about and fights for the team and club. There are no fancy social-media distractions. He is a truly inspirational leader. A legend in the making and despite only joining less than 12 months ago.”
