United fans to be given limited-edition scarves at Wembley

Manchester United’s fans attending the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United on Sunday will each be given a limited-edition scarf and will be urged to create a red and white wall of support to spur United to clinch the first trophy of the Erik ten Hag era.

The club have decided against handing out the plastic flags that have become part of Wembley occasions in favour of the more collectable and sustainable souvenir scarves for the thousands who will travel to support the team.

Fans will find their red and white scarves on their seats when they arrive in the stadium for the first domestic final that Manchester United have appeared in since the FA Cup final in 2018.
Bruno Fernandes sports the limited-edition scarf that our fans will be given at Wembley.

Rick McGagh, Head of Fan Engagement, said: "Our fans have been brilliant again this season and we saw on Thursday night against Barcelona the role they play in inspiring the team and helping us get over the line in tight games.

"The manager and players really value and appreciate their support, so we wanted to take the opportunity to recognise our fans and to reward them with something special at Wembley.

"Hopefully these scarves will provide a lasting momento of another great day in our club’s history as we look to win our first trophy under Erik. We hope the 33,000 fans making the trip to Wembley, and all our supporters watching across the world, have a great day on Sunday."

*Please note that United supporters in Club Wembley will not receive a scarf due to Wembley's policy of not allowing club colours to be worn in that area.
