United launches Portuguese content

Manchester United has expanded its dedicated language content to include Portuguese, appealing to the millions of Portuguese-speaking United fans around the world.

Portuguese Reds can now access the club’s dedicated Portugese Twitter account and localised content across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Portuguese-speaking fans, who make up a large percentage of the club’s global fanbase, can now follow the team in their native language, celebrate the local fan culture and find the fan groups that have come together to support the Reds wherever they are in the world.

The launch focuses on celebrating our fans and will include content from fan channels, groups and influencers that have sprung up where fans are engaging, conversing and sharing content online. The club will be celebrating these accounts, and will start by acknowledging the loyal support they show the team.
To celebrate the launch we will be giving away three signed shirts to our fans, from our Brazilian trio, Antony, Casemiro and Fred.

The content will be in both standard Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese, and will be targeted specifically to those regions. The content will follow the men’s team, as well as our women’s team and Academy games, and provide fans with updates and news from inside the club.
