Why the latest Inside United is so special
The new issue of official club magazine Inside United goes on sale today – and Manchester United Women proudly take centre-stage on the front cover of this special edition.
Having made a strong start to the WSL campaign – and with a huge occasion at Old Trafford coming up against Aston Villa on 3 December – our Reds women are represented by Ella Toone, Nikita Parris, Mary Earps, Alessia Russo, Ona Batlle and Vilde Boe Rise on the cover.
Toone and Parris both give exclusive interviews inside the mag, talking about the team’s exciting start to the season and ambitions going forward (Parris: “We want to bring trophies to this club”), and the opportunity to play again in front of a crowd at the Theatre of Dreams (Toone: “It’s going to be amazing and we can’t wait”).
There are also insights from Rachel Williams, Maria Thorisdottir, Adriana Leon and Martha Thomas, as the whole squad and manager Marc Skinner gear up for the big day. You can order a copy of the magazine now.
Elsewhere in the issue, Marcus Rashford’s recent milestone of a century of United goals is celebrated with a count-up of all 100, a panel of writers reflect on the positives of the season so far and the early stages of the Erik ten Hag era, while there are also some powerful words on race and role models from Andy Cole and Axel Tuanzebe, from interviews given in October to mark Black History Month.
With recent match analysis, a focus on the upcoming FA Youth Cup, a salute to the magazine’s 30th birthday and an interview with United-supporting snooker star Judd Trump, there’s plenty besides to keep readers busy.
After all of that, there’s even more to come… you didn’t think we’d forget about the World Cup, did you?
All you have to do is flip the magazine over to get stuck into a special section all about the tournament, complete with its own cover.
All the United representatives who will be performing for their nations in Qatar are profiled, and there are also exclusive interviews with some of those players, including Harry Maguire, Fred, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Diogo Dalot.
There’s also a compendium feature all about United’s strong imprint on the World Cup down the years, featuring the heroics of such Red royalty as Sir Bobby Charlton, Bryan Robson, David Beckham and more.
It’s an absolutely packed issue – with two covers and our women’s team on the front for the first time ever, there’s no wonder it’s billed as a collector’s edition.Inside United December 2022 is on sale now in shops, at the Old Trafford Megastore, and can be bought or subscribed to online here.
