Onana makes debut in Real friendly

Erik ten Hag has named his Manchester United side to face Real Madrid, with the 01:30 BST kick-off live on MUTV.

Andre Onana makes his first appearance in goal, after signing from Internazionale, while Kobbie Mainoo is given a huge vote of confidence with a midfield slot against Real's superstars.

The Academy graduate is joined by former Madrid man Casemiro in the engine room, with another ex-Bernabeu favourite, Raphael Varane, part of our defence.

The forwards are likely to be fluid again but Marcus Rashford, a substitute against Arsenal, is included from the off and must be favourite to occupy the lead striker's role.

Amad is named among the substitutes, despite leaving the New Jersey encounter with the Gunners on crutches, and there is plenty of strength in depth with Jadon Sancho, scorer of a fine second goal in the 2-0 victory, also in reserve.

Meanwhile, we can reveal defender Jonny Evans and striker Joe Hugill, who played against Wrexham in the 3-1 defeat in San Diego, have joined up with the rest of the squad for the remainder of Tour 2023.
