Matheus Cunha celebrates his goal during the 4-4 draw with Bournemouth.

A unique stat for the Reds this season

Manchester United are the only Premier League team not to have recorded a goalless draw in the 2025/26 season.

With five games of the campaign left to play, the Reds are yet to experience a stalemate in the top-flight.

Indeed, you'd have to go back 47 games, to last April, for the most recent United fixture to finish 0-0, when the Reds and Blues could not be separated in the 196th Manchester derby.

Stats provider Playmaker point out that five Football League clubs are in the same boat:

There have been 26 scoreless matches in this season's division, but all of United's 10 tied affairs have seen both sides celebrate a goal, at some point.

We drew 1-1 with Fulham, West Ham United (twice), Wolves and Leeds United and recorded 2-2s against Nottingham Forest, Tottenham Hotspur, Burnley and Bournemouth (away).

The Old Trafford meeting with the Cherries saw the teams share eight goals in what must be a contender for game of the season.

Andoni Iraola's side have scored 52 and conceded 52 times this term, meaning Bournemouth fans are the only ones who have seen more net-bulging action than United's, with our games containing 103 goals (58 for, 45 against).

Brentford, Liverpool, Sunderland, Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion are the remaining opponents for Michael Carrick's men, and if none of those matches finish goalless, it will be the first full United league campaign without a 0-0 draw since 2012/13.

None of Sir Alex Ferguson's final 81 league games in charge ended 0-0, after the stalemate with Newcastle United at St James' Park in April 2011.
