Players return for pre-season training

A number of Manchester United’s first-team players have returned to the club for the first day of pre-season training.

Most of the Reds were spotted on Monday, but the players each have their own individual programmes ahead of the weekend. Alexis Sanchez will remain one of the absentees, though, as he is still on Copa America duty with Chile.

For those already back for pre-season, the hard works starts now ahead of the new Premier league campaign, which United begin by hosting Chelsea on Sunday 11 August.

However, between now and then, there are plenty of games for United fans to keep an eye out for, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are back in action in just 12 days' time.

The Reds begin the first of six pre-season fixtures with a trip to Australia, where we’ll take on Perth Glory at the Optus Stadium on 13 July, before we meet our old foes Leeds United four days later at the same arena.

After that, United will begin our International Champions Cup (ICC) campaign, as we face three of Europe’s top sides.
Firstly, United play Serie A outfit Inter Milan in Singapore on 20 July and then we lock horns with our Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, five days later in Shanghai.

Our ICC campaign ends with a short trip to Cardiff to take on AC Milan on 3 August, but United will also play Ole’s hometown club, Kristiansund, on 30 July.
