Three Reds withdraw from October internationals
Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Noussair Mazraoui will not take part in October's international fixtures, after withdrawing from the Argentina, England and Morocco squads as a precaution.
Garnacho had been named in Lionel Scaloni's group for World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Bolivia, alongside club team-mate Lisandro Martinez.
However, the 20-year-old has been managing an issue over the last week and confirmed via Instagram that he would not be travelling to South America.
“I won't be able to be with the national team but I hope to recover so I can be on the next date,” the winger wrote.
Alejandro made his debut for La Albiceleste last year and has seven caps to his name.
Which Reds are on international duty?
ArticleCheck out when United's representatives are in action during this October break.
Fellow Academy graduate Mainoo, meanwhile, was the only Red set to represent England, as Lee Carsley's side prepare for UEFA Nations League encounters with Greece and Finland.
Kobbie has played in 10 of the Three Lions' 13 outings since making his bow in March, but will sit out these fixtures.
Like Garnacho, Mainoo has also been managing an issue and duly missed the eventful 3-3 draw in Porto, after being substituted in the first half of our defeat to Tottenham last Sunday with an injury.
The talented teenager was able to start at Villa Park, before being replaced by Casemiro late on.
Mazraoui had to come off at half-time in the Midlands and, as a precaution, the defender will not represent Morocco during the break.
Harry Maguire was also forced off against Villa and we await an update on the centre-back.
There was some positive news at Villa Park, however, after Victor Lindelof was able to feature in the Premier League for the first time since March.
The 30-year-old is set to captain Sweden when they take on Slovenia and Estonia.
The times and dates of these games, as well as all other senior matches involving our players, can be found in the International Reds guide.
