When do United play Man City and Arsenal?

Wednesday 16 November 2022 17:00

The Premier League has confirmed the dates and kick-off times for two huge Manchester United matches in January.

The Reds host second-placed Manchester City, who trail Arsenal by five points in the table, on Saturday 14 January 2023 and the game will be broadcast live on BT Sport in the UK.

The second Manchester derby of the 2022/23 season will kick off at 12:30 GMT and Erik ten Hag's side will be out for revenge after the 6-3 loss we suffered at the Etihad Stadium in the reverse fixture.

It's important to note that the Carabao Cup quarter-finals will take place in the preceding midweek and, should either club be involved in a tie on Thursday 12 January, the derby will move to a 12:00 GMT kick-off on Sunday 15 January.

United face Burnley in the fourth round of that competition, on 21 December, while City host Liverpool the following evening.

Our very next top-flight outing will then see us travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on Mikel Arteta's impressive young Arsenal side.

We'll face the Gunners at 16:30 GMT on Sunday 22 January 2023, with that one being shown live on Sky Sports.

At the time of the league pausing for the World Cup, we are still the only side to have beaten the north Londoners this season, with Marcus Rashford scoring twice and Antony netting on debut during September's 3-1 victory in M16.

One January fixture had already been confirmed in the batch of Christmas dates, with our calendar year opening on Tuesday 3 January 2023, when we play Bournemouth at Old Trafford (20:00 GMT) in the Premier League.

The following weekend is reserved for the Emirates FA Cup third round and we'll find out our opponents for that when the draw is made following the second round, which is set for later this month.

The fourth round of the FA Cup will be played across January's final weekend.
