United send love to Gomes
Everyone at Manchester United is sending best wishes to former Reds midfielder Angel Gomes, who suffered a serious head injury while playing for Lille on Saturday.
Gomes, 23, collided with Reims defender Amadou Kone in the 11th minute of the Ligue 1 match, and was immediately treated on the pitch.
Kone was sent off and Gomes was stretchered off before being taken to hospital, with the match being delayed for 34 minutes.
Fans of both sides sang the United Academy graduate's name while he received treatment and, later on Saturday, Lille confirmed that the midfielder had regained consciousness.

After the game, Lille manager Bruno Genesio spoke to the press about the incident, and Gomes's condition.
"The latest news is rather reassuring, but it's better to be careful," he said.
"Angel asked if he was going to play [next] Saturday. It's a good sign if he has a sense of humour. The match was secondary for me tonight.
"Angel was conscious when he was carried out. I know he spoke, he asked about the result, he showed he's in good spirits, but I think we have to wait a bit."
Lille won the match 2-0, with Bafode Diakite and Jonathan David getting on the scoresheet.
Angel is a product of our world-renowned Academy, and made his Premier League debut for the club in 2017.
He made 10 appearances for the Reds and joined Lille in 2020.
We are all thinking of you and wish you a speedy recovery, Angel.
