Why Rashford wants your help this Christmas
Marcus Rashford is proud to be from Manchester and feels passionately about giving back to his community, which is why the homegrown hero has launched the ‘In the Box Christmas Campaign’.
In partnership with Selfridges Manchester Exchange, the project will support three of the city’s biggest homeless shelters in Barnabus, Centrepoint, and Lifeshare.
Members of the public are encouraged to fill a shoebox of essential items (see below for specifics) that will be distributed to adults who are in greater need this holiday period.
Marcus has previously given back to the homeless community with his family and the proud Mancunian, who grew up in Wythenshawe, is keen for the public to enhance the cause.
I’m Manchester born and bred. And this Christmas I want to give something back to this great city. pic.twitter.com/LIxQtNJWK9

“I'm extremely proud of where I'm from, I love this city and appreciate all of the support the city has given me over the years, so this is my opportunity to help out those that might not otherwise have the best Christmas. I'm hoping lots of people will want to get involved too so we can make a real impact together.”
