Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick's team to take on Tottenham at Old Trafford in the 17:30 GMT kick-off has been announced.

The Reds are looking for a morale-boosting three points in a bid to enhance our prospects of finishing in the top four of the Premier League this term.

Spurs have been inconsistent under Antonio Conte but have pulled off some really impressive wins against Manchester City, Leeds United and Everton recently.

The big news is that there is no Bruno Fernandes in the matchday squad but David De Gea, contrary to some earlier reports, does start in goal.

Cristiano Ronaldo returns in attack and Raphael Varane is back from his Covid-19 absence to partner captain Harry Maguire. Diogo Dalot is recalled at right-back, with Alex Telles on the opposite flank.

Nemanja Matic offers security in midfield, as he is in for the injured Scott McTominay, while Marcus Rashford starts ahead of Anthony Elanga.

Edinson Cavani is among the substitutes, for his first appearance in the squad since the 1-1 draw with Burnley on 8 February.

United: De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Maguire (c), Telles; Matic, Fred, Pogba; Rashford, Ronaldo, Sancho.

Subs: Henderson, Bailly, Jones, Lindelof, Wan-Bissaka, Lingard, Mata, Cavani, Elanga.
